For over two decades Gradegold Limited has been a market leader in providing premium goods, delivering prepared fruit and vegetable products to many food-manufacturing industries. GradeGold recently won a contract to supply their products to Gate Gourmet, a leading supplier to the airline industry. Gradegold realised that their existing production facility in Southall was too small for the volume of future business. A new site was found nearby in Greenford. The new 15,000 sq/ft site was ideal for their expansion plans, however Gradegold now needed to source a contractor who could build a production facility comprising of several refrigerated rooms in just twelve weeks.
Gradegold spoke with an existing CCP HVAC client who recommended that they liaise with CCP HVAC about the project, having themselves been very satisfied with the work carried out. CCP HVAC were asked to design and build a state of the art refrigerated production facility within a specified budget and to a strict timeframe. Incorporating the latest energy efficient plant, the design had to be future-proof and resourceful. Sanjai Talsania, technical director at CCP HVAC, set about gathering information based on what the customer had asked for and designed a system.
The project needed to be completed and ready within twelve weeks, so that the food production process could begin.
CCP HVAC finished the project in record time and on budget. Due to design specification made by CCP HVAC which incorporated an energy efficient refrigeration plant, EC rated fans and LED lighting, the projected savings are 20% per annum.
The site has now been operational for nine months, and not a single breakdown has occurred. The facility continues to fulfil the needs of Gradegold, and plans are in place to do similar works at the nearby Southall facility.
Anand Halai, Director at Gradgold says,
We are delighted we chose CCP HVAC as they have delivered the project on time and on budget.
